Terms and Conditions

A contract between you and the Tartan Company for the sale of our products will only exist once your order has been accepted, processed and despatched (at which point the buyers credit card will be charged for the value of the goods despatched, plus postage where appropriate), and the goods have been adopted. This does not affect your statutory rights. Our goods are provided to customers on the basis that ownership will not pass until a period of three months has elapsed since the items were despatched. These terms apply regardless of the method of payment used in relation to the goods.

PAYMENT

We accept online payment in a secure environment by credit card. We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Switch, Solo, Electron and JCB.
All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of press and are quoted in pounds sterling.

Any customs or import duties levied once the packages reaches your destination country will be your responsibility as we have no control over these charges and cannot predict these charges.

DELIVERY

All quotes are estimates only.
Abroad overseas, BFPO and non-mainland UK postage is charged at cost.

RETURNS

Should you not be entirely satisfied with the goods you have chosen, please ensure you return them to us within 10 days. Provided the goods are returned in perfect condition we are more than happy to exchange, refund or give a credit note.

CANCELLING

You may cancel the contract for any reason upon giving written notice to us within 7 days of receipt of the goods. If you do cancel the contract within this time any payments made by you will be refunded in full. You will be required to return to the Tartan Company any products sent to you under any contract that you have cancelled in perfect condition, unused and in their original packaging.

Please obtain a receipt of postage from the Post Office when you send the parcel back. We cannot be held responsible for parcels lost en route. We will only refund return/exchange postage costs if the item returned is faulty.

SECURITY

We want you to feel completely at ease with doing business with us over the Internet. We know that security is a major concern to some of our customers and therefore we have put a system in place that is far safer than giving your credit card details over the telephone or giving your card to a waiter in a restaurant.

GOODS DESCRIPTIONS

We have tried to ensure all goods are correctly described and displayed. As all the items are individually made there may be slight variations in each product. This is to be expected and is part of the uniqueness of our products.

DISCLAIMER

To the fullest extent permitted by the law and except in respect of death or personal injury caused by negligence on the part of The Tartan Company, its directors or employees, The Tartan Company shall not be liable to you by reason of any representation (unless fraudulent), or any implied warranty, condition or other term, or any duty at common law, or under the express terms of the contract, for any indirect, special or consequential loss or damage (whether for loss of profit or otherwise), costs, expenses or other claims for compensation whatsoever (whether caused by negligence on the part of The Tartan Company, its directors, employees or agents or otherwise) which arise out of or in connection with the use of this website. The supply of the products or their use or resale by you, and the entire liability of The Tartan Company under or in connection with the contract shall not exceed the price of the products, except as expressly provided in these conditions. This does not affect your statutory rights.

We will not be liable to you or be deemed to be in breach of the contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of our obligations in relations to the products ordered by you, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond our reasonable control. This does not affect your statutory rights.
